CERBERIAN, INC PRIVACY POLICY

Cerberian has created this privacy statement to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. The following discloses information gathering and dissemination practices for our Web site: http://www.cerberian.com.

The Cerberian Web site
Cerberian values and respects the privacy of our customers and does not share, sell, or otherwise divulge personal information collected from our Web site to any third party. Cerberian's Web site has the ability to collect information from visitors through the use of forms. Visitors to our Web site may voluntarily use these forms to request information on our products, services and company. The information we collect from the contact form is used to respond to specific requests from customers. Cerberian is the sole owner of the information collected from the Cerberian Web site.

Log Files - Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information. Our Web server also collects the IP address and HTTP header information of our visitors. We use this information to help diagnose problems with our server, and to administer and improve our Web site. In all cases, we do NOT use this information for personal identification purposes. Once this information is used for it's stated purpose it is destroyed.

Third Party Links - Cerberian's Web site may contain links to other sites. Cerberian, Inc. has no control over, and therefore assumes no responsibility for, the privacy practices or the content of other Web sites.

Question: Will Cerberian use my information to send me unsolicited emails?

Answer: Cerberian will only reply to the original request for information and does not send further email or keep contact information

The Cerberian Web Filter Service
The Cerberian Web Filter Service categorizes web content (basic service) and provides Optional Centralized Policy & Reporting functions (enhanced service). Cerberian values and respects the privacy of our customers and does not share, sell, or otherwise divulge personal information collected from our Web Filter Service to any third party.

Basic Service - The Cerberian Web Filter basic service provides URL site categorization. In order to provide this service, the following information is sent to Cerberian:

1. Vendor ID - Vendor Identification Data as URL Encoded Text. It may contain only a vendor ID or may optionally, in addition, contain a machine identifier. The Cerberian Web Filter 2.0 allows a vendor to determine if they wish to have devices uniquely identifiable for that customer.

2. License - License Key, is a unique key that is provided to Cerberian at the time of license purchase.

3. URL - The full requested URL.

Certain Cerberian partners have increased the level of privacy by encrypting the license number and machine information provided to Cerberian. This makes it nearly impossible for Cerberian to identify any single user. Please refer to the Cerberian partner providing this service for additional information.

Question: What is done with this information?

Answer: This information is only used internally at Cerberian to provide and enhance the Web Filtering service. It is also used to verify that only properly licensed customers access the service. This information is destroyed after analysis.

Enhanced Service - In order to support the Cerberian Report Services, it is necessary for Cerberian to track and keep a history of surfing habits for those who have chosen this optional reporting feature. All such information is kept strictly confidential and is limited to only those employees directly involved with maintaining the reporting features of the Cerberian service. Sites submitted for review to Cerberian Support are reviewed and the request is destroyed.

If a customer elects to use the Cerberian Report Services, a limited amount of user information is passed to Cerberian. The actual user name may be an aliased identifier that has no meaning to anyone except the customer who is generating the data. Any other information such as company name may be omitted or aliased at the sole choice of the customer. This information is stored for the exclusive use of the customer and is not available to any other party. Access to this information is available only through encrypted SSL links. This information is not backed up onto any permanent storage device and is destroyed at the end of its service life (currently 61 days).

Consent
By using the Cerberian Web Filter or any Cerberian product, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy Statement, which was last updated on August 15, 2002

Legal disclosure - Cerberian will not release personal information (including your name, email, postal address, etc...) unless we are required to disclose the information pursuant to any law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process; or disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our rights under any agreement with you or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of Cerberian, its users, or the public.

Changes
Cerberian reviews this Privacy Policy Statement periodically, and it is subject to change. Any changes to Cerberian's privacy policy will be reflected on this page so that visitors to Cerberian's Web site are always aware of the information Cerberian collects and how such information is used.
